What is a Boat Cruise at Lake Mburo?

A boat cruise at Lake Mburo is a guided safari experience conducted on a motorized boat operated by the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA). The cruise usually lasts 1½ to 2 hours and follows designated routes along the shoreline and across calm sections of the lake.

Unlike speedboat rides, these cruises move at a slow and steady pace, allowing visitors to observe animals, birds, and landscapes without disturbing them. A knowledgeable guide accompanies guests, explaining animal behavior, bird species, and the ecological importance of the lake.
