Rwakobo Rock Lodge is a mid-range eco-friendly safari lodge situated just outside the Nshara Gate of Lake Mburo National Park and seated on a massive granite outcrop facing the rolling savannah plains.
The Lodge offers travelers scenic views across the wilderness as well as various wildlife animals as they wander around their natural vegetation habitat.
Location & Setting
The Lodge is situated in the Ankole ranchlands along the Northern border of Lake Mburo National Park lying about 1 km from the main park gate requiring you to drive for about 3½–4 hours’ drive from Kampala. On the drive, you shall enjoy the wilderness experience going through the Nshara Government Ranch where Ankole longhorn cattle graze alongside zebras and other plains game. The region offers amazing photographic safaris as travelers take stunning photos of the wildlife animals.
While at the lodge, you shall view many wildlife animals, terrain landscape and the wildlife animals you watch include; zebra, impala, warthog and bushbuck close to the dining terrace and waterholes directly below.
Accommodation
Rwakobo Rock lodge consists of many types of comfortable, thatch-roofed cottages and rooms, all designed to harmonize with the natural terrain landscape.
Private thatched cottages which are found around the rocky hill offering privacy, wooden beds, solar lighting, en-suite bathrooms with flush toilets and solar-heated showers, and verandas with sweeping views.
Hornbill House which is thatched comprising of five self-contained rooms, each with its own bathroom and veranda very ideal for families or groups.
Safari tents and camping which are budget-friendly en-suite safari tents with designated camping regions that are available for guests seeking a closer-to-nature experience.
Rooms are thoughtfully spaced for privacy and include basic modern comforts, while keeping a rustic, authentic bush atmosphere.
