10 Interesting Facts About the Giraffes at Lake Mburo
Lake Mburo National Park is located in the western Part of Uganda and known to have various Giraffes which can be watched while on Game Drive as you transfer from one point to another. You shall take various photos to keep when you watch these amazing wildlife species.
These Giraffes were obtained from various National Parks i.e Murchison Falls National Park. The personnel at the Uganda Wildlife Authority stated that four females and males were trans located from Murchison Falls National Park and were groomed for up to 3 weeks. These were added to the acacia woodland where they feed on the tree leaves.
Other than the Giraffes in the park, travelers can watch various wildlife animals wandering around their natural vegetation habitat and these include; zebra, warthog, buffalo, impala and various other grazers, including the last surviving Ugandan population of eland.

- The tongue of the giraffe is black and it can measure up to fifty centimeters twenty-one inches long.
- Giraffes can live in the wilderness between ten to fifteen years; the female giraffe gets to be sexually active between the age of three to four years whiles the male between four to five years.
- In case of any sudden attack by predators and other creator’s giraffe make noise as way of ensuring security to them selves by grunting as well as moaning.
